Thank you to everyone who attended this year's Samuel Williams Leadership Foundation Be T.R.U.E 5K run/walk & Wootton Wellness Day on March 17, 2018. We had an amazing event with over 300 races and 40 volunteers, and great vendors like PENFED, Inflatable play area, face painting, field games, and Fresh Kettle Corn. We are so incredibly thankful for the support we received this year from Wootton High School (Principle Ms. Kimberly Boldon, Mrs. Cocker, Mr. Kirk, Mr. Buxton, & Mr. Alton), Wootton Students, and DuFief Elementary School students for coming out. In addition, we want to thank all our friends, family, and neighbors that participated again this year. It was a huge blessing to have everyone out in the wonderful weather.
The event was full of fun, smiles, and we even had leprechauns on the course. Kids and adults participated in face painting, played in the super fun inflatable from "Great Kids Events", and many thanks to Wootton Booster for the amazing help with the concession stand and balloons. We had a morning Zumba session that had everyone warming up. We would like to especially thank the 2018 sponsor which includes Wootton Booster Club, Spectrum Printing & Graphics, Great Kids Events & Andy' Parties, PENFED, and The Derek Sheely Foundation.
We hope to see you all back again at next year's 6th Be T.R.U.E 5K run/walk to help provide leadership opportunities for teens today.
