MARK YOUR CALENDAR'S MARCH 17, 2018 -5th Be T.R.U.E. run/walk EVENT!
Thank you to everyone who attended this year's Samuel Williams Leadership Foundation Be T.R.U.E 5K run/walk on March 25, 2017. We had an amazing event with over 330 races and 40 volunteers, and great vendors like PENFED, Gold's Gym, Kicks Karate, free food, and LOTS of fun. We are so incredibly thankful for the support we received this year from Wootton High School (Principle Ms. Kimberly Boldon, Ms. Crystal Dovman, Mr. Kirk, Mr. Buxton, Mr. Alton), Wootton Students, and DuFief Elementary School students for coming out. In addition, we want to thank all our friends, family, and neighbors that participated again this year. It was a huge blessing to have everyone out in the wonderful weather. The event was full of fun, smiles, and joy as families ran or walked the course, participated in face painting, played in the super fun inflatable from "Great Kids Events", and many thanks to Wootton Booster for the amazing help with the concession stand and balloons. We had great Gold's Gym warm up and Zumba session that had everyone moving. We would like to especially thank the 2017 sponsor which includes Wootton Booster Club, Spectrum Printing & Graphics, Gold's Gym, Great Kids Events & Andy' Parties, R&J Shoes, PENFED, and The Derek Sheely Foundation.

The "Samuel Williams Leadership Foundation" was established to highlight the positive and inspiring character traits in youth, in the memory of Samuel Williams. Sam completed his Sophomore year at Wootton High School. Sam was an honor student, outstanding community volunteer, and Eagle Scout, who tragically passed away in June 2013. Th foundation was established to share, and continue Sam's message of being Trustworthy, Responsible, Uplifting, and Enthusiastic. These traits are highlighted in the "Be T.R.U.E. Leadership Award" at Wootton High School. The goal of the foundation is to raise funds to provide a variety of team building and leadership opportunities. The "Be T.R.U.E.
